When welcome emails are enabled, we read your shop's contact email address from Shopify and pass it to Postmark to deliver a transactional welcome email with setup and support information. We do not track email opens or link clicks, and we do not send buyers' survey responses to Postmark.
We keep a delivery record containing your shop domain, delivery status, attempt timestamps, and Postmark's message identifier when available. We use the recipient address in memory to send the email and do not store it in Toldby's delivery record.
Want to know what we hold about you, or want it deleted? Email us and we'll share or remove it — no forms, no delay. Uninstalling the app from your Shopify admin also triggers Shopify's data-deletion webhooks.
We delete Toldby's welcome-email delivery record when you uninstall the app or Shopify requests shop data erasure. Uninstalling does not automatically delete Postmark's own message and delivery records, which follow the service's retention settings. Postmark may retain suppression records for bounced addresses and spam complaints. Contact us for help with questions or deletion requests relating to those records.
