toldby (gettoldby.com) is a post-purchase survey app for Shopify merchants, published on the Shopify App Store by Vera Labs LLC. This policy covers this marketing website and states the privacy commitments the app is built on.

What this website collects

• Nothing you type.This site has no forms and no accounts — installing toldby happens on the Shopify App Store, under Shopify's own privacy terms.
• Anonymous usage analytics. We use Vercel Analytics, which is cookieless and does not track you across sites. We see aggregate page views, not identified visitors.

This site sets no advertising trackers and no cross-site cookies.

Who processes it

• Vercel hosts this website and provides its analytics.

The toldby app

These are the commitments the app is built on:

• Your customers' answers belong to your store. Survey responses are your data — exportable any time, never sold, and never used to build advertising profiles.
• Minimum Shopify permissions. The app requests only the access scopes it needs to attach survey answers to orders.
• Deletion honored.Shopify's mandatory GDPR webhooks are implemented, so customer and shop data-deletion requests are carried out automatically.
• AI processing stays yours.Open-text answers are summarized to produce your store's insights — they are not used to train models and are not shared across stores.

Your choices

Want to know what we hold about you, or want it deleted? Email us and we'll share or remove it — no forms, no delay. Uninstalling the app from your Shopify admin also triggers Shopify's data-deletion webhooks.
